Cedric Muhikira
Cedric is a civil engineer working in the Detroit area. He emigrated from Rwanda in 2019 where he earned an associate's degree in civil engineering. In the U.S., he is furthering his education in concrete technology and writing. His first novel, Libaax: Grow Your Roots Where You Land, tells the story of a young East African immigrant named Ayaan who experiences many of Cedric's obstacles when stepping off the plane in the U.S. for the first time--lonliness, isolation and home sickness. Cedric hopes his vision for continued education and success in civil engineering will ultimately allow him to bring his expertise back to his home country.
